Exploring Nokia Developer Projects

Project Explorer provides a simple and intuitive interface to help you find interesting projects. Search for keywords by entering them in the search box above the sidebar and pressing enter (or select the search icon).

You can refine the search by selecting categories and subcategories from the sidebar using their associated checkboxes. The returned result includes only topics which have all categories and the search term (ie logical AND).

Note that if you select a "parent" category then the search will include all its subcategories (ie Qt and Symbian is actually a search of "Qt, Qt Quick, Qt Mobility" AND Symbian).

More on searching

Project explorer allows you to search for projects based on specific keywords and categories, and to view the results based on creation date or project activity. The information provided for each project includes its name, icon, project description, creation date, categories, activites and number of followers.

In addition to refining the search based on category, you can also restrict results based on development status, natural language and licencing, and any other category that has been used in the system. The expanded sidebar lists (at time of writing) are shown below.

Selected categories and search terms are also displayed in at the top of the view, so you can easily see and remove search criteria, even if they would otherwise be hidden in the sidebar. From here you can also Clear all criteria. project explorer search criteria area

Lastly, you can switch between tabs to sort based on most recent or most active projects, and you can change the number of results returned in a search (default it 10)
