Great update, thanks.
I forgot to request to display the date some weeks ago and now it has been added. :) Unread items are now definitely better recognizable. And it's nice just to see the unread items of a feed. Links are opened in Opera Mobile. :)
This app just keeps getting better. Thanks yogeshwarp!
Some weird things are happening with this latest update though, the buttons in landscape mode seem to be less responsive and the app has crashed on me a few times during use.
Can you please tell me you device model and product code? also you have not installed any test build of Qt like 4.7.4 right?
Hi there. Just joined the forum. I've updated to version 1.10. Great job, yogeshwarp!
The global unread filter is a great improvement, and it works fine.
Is it possible to go back directly from a single post (e.g. number 21/40) to the same item of the post list that was clicked before opening the post? So the user would not have to scroll down the list each time he/she wants to resume reading.
The post list view looks better now, but the previous version had the whole title of each post. It would be good to keep the old layout as an option. I find it was easier that way to decide which posts to open, at a glance, when there wasn't enough time to read all of them.
Congratulations for the application. Looking forward to future versions!
Hey,
I'm using an N8 running on PR1.2 with product code 059D597, and I havent installed any test builds of Qt.
Thanks
Some weird things are happening with this latest update though, the buttons in landscape mode seem to be less responsive ....
Same for me on my Nokia E6-00 (no landscape mode necessary ;)) running Symbian Anna 022.014 with no test-builds of QT.
OK, will look into the unresponsive button issue for the next release might be some issue related to swipe area added for swipe up menu from bottom. Also for the crashes do they happen on any particular page? or totally random in nature?
Have taken down some of the feedback like maintaining the position of the list while returning from particular item while browsing the feed as well as showing more details in the list view and not just truncated single line
The crashing seems to be mostly occuring when viewing the feeds, but not exclusively. The screen just freezes and becomes momentarily unresponsive before the app closes.
I have Q 4.7.4 and the program doesn't work, it shows me only a blank screen. Shouldl I go back to 4.7.3?
I am using it with qt 4.7.4 can you try qtinfo app on nokia developer project site and send me output at yogeshwarp at gmail dot com
Ok, I'll do it as soon as possible. Now I'm using an older firmware with QT 4.7.3 in which gnewsreader 0.9.34 works (dunno about 1.1 because I overdownloaded it in my experiments and now I'm waiting before re-buying it :-).
Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna, Qt 4.7.3. I have installed 1.10, but some features seem not working:
- "Open Article in Web Browser" does nothing (I expect to open the URL of the article in the default web browser)
- none of the mentioned swipe gestures works
- For opening web browser the fix has been identified (at least for Anna and verified by one affected user) it should come in next update in 1 or 2 weeks
- Swipe gestures are bit sensitive to work, can you try starting the swipe from the screen edges (even starting beyond the screen edge and coming in should work)
- Web browser: good news, I'm looking forward to try it.
- Swipe: It helped a little bit, but it is still difficult to use. At this time it is much easier to use the arrows at the bottom of the screen. But, anyway, gesture control is a good idea, I hope you can improve it in future versions.
Thanks for your answer.
