Nokia E7/E6 keyboard shorcuts
Hello,
I've just bought gNewsReader and I'd like to say that it's just great! this is the app I've been waiting for to read my gReader subscritpions. Thank you very much and keep going!
as a feature request I'd say that having some keyboard shortcuts on E7/E6 would be really handy.
As an example I could propose to re-use some of the keyboards shortcuts from LonelyCatGames? apps (Jukebox, Profimail):
"q" - scroll one screen up (or page up)
"a" or "space" - scroll one screen down (or page down)
"g" - mark the item with "star" or show "Google" sharing options
"s" - show sharing options (twitter, facebook, etc)
"n" - next item
"u" or "k" - keep unread
"o" - show options menu ("gears" icon)
"i" - toggle "auto load images"
"backspace" - back. I see that it works this way already. but in some cases focus loses and I can't bet back to the previous post/screen by pressing backspace.
hope you find this useful.
thanks,
Andrei
Nice list! you made by job bit easy. will surely add such shortcuts it was originally planned to extend the current basic navigation keyboard support but got slipped due to other things.
Thanks for the detailed list again will update this post once I add the shortcuts
many thanks! can say that I felt in love with gNewReader after a day of usage :)
While at it, there is still some issues with E6 d-pad. Scrolling up-down does work, but switching sideways between posts does not.
Sure will check it out I think it stops working after menu is clicked can you please confirm or other ways to reproduce
I haven't been able to get D-pad sideways scroll even to start working in any situation. Is it supposed to do something else besides switch between posts in the reading view?
(actually sideways scroll - both with d-pad and swipe - COULD switch between all, unread and starred in the main screen... )
currently its only active on detail screen to scroll posts like you mentioned. I planned initially to also add swipe support to other screens to switch between views like you mentioned here but I was not happy with current implementation as its still very jerky so decided to hold off on that for now. D-pad was not something I had originally considered as option to swipe but I guess once main implementation is done adding keyboard shortcut would be really easy
As I'm using LCG-Apps too I would be happy about these shortcuts too. :)
