MeeBible is a Bible reader for MeeGo platform

With MeeBible you can read God's Word everywhere with your phone. Bible texts are downloaded on the fly from the web and cached for further reading. You can also download whole Bible translation via Wi-Fi network and read it offline.

MeeBible supports following Bible translations:

• New World Translation in 42 languages
• King James Bible
• New International Bible
• English Standard Bible
• Russian Synodal Translation
• Latvian Revised Bible
• Arabic Smith & Van Dyke Version
• Svenska Folkbibeln (Swedish People's Bible)

Full-text unicode-aware search is supported. You can find Bible places by phrase or character's name.

MeeBible comes in two versions: Free and Paid. Both versions have same functionality. If you want to support development of MeeBible, please consider to buy ​Paid version from Ovi Store.

Build instructions

MeeBible is qmake-driven project and uses several Harmattan-specific features.

I'm not sure you can build it with just QtSDK. I'm using ​Harmattan Platform SDK (Scratchbox) for building MeeBible.

For building installable .deb-package you need do following in Scratchbox session:

1. Install applauncherd-dev package: apt-get install applauncherd-dev
2. Run dpkg-buildpackage in root folder of MeeBible sources.
3. Generated .deb files will be located in ../
